水作用对沥青混合料性能的影响

摘 要: 设计不同级配类型和空隙率的沥青混合料,通过劈裂强度、抗压强度、抗压回弹模量、单轴静载蠕变等试验,研究2种水作用(冻融循环和高温浸水)对沥青混合料常规力学性能和高温性能的影响。研究结果表明:水的作用严重削弱了沥青混合料的性能,高温浸水的影响明显小于冻融循环的影响;沥青混合料性能与其级配和空隙率有关,粗集料形成骨架,细集料起填充作用,形成具有适宜空隙率的沥青混合料,水稳定性良好;可以采用Burgers模型来描述沥青混合料在水损害前后的蠕变行为,其模型参数会因水作用而变化,高温浸水和冻融循环会严重削弱沥青混合料高温抗变形能力。根据不同受力状态(如受拉和受压)下的沥青混合料力学指标在水作用前后的变化,对其水稳定性的评价结果可能不同,应综合考虑水稳定性和其他路用性能(如高温稳定性)的要求。

Effect of water intrusion on performance of asphalt mixture

Abstract:Different types of asphalt mixture with different gradations and percent air voids were designed. Tests on their indirect tension strength, compressive strength, resilient modulus of compression and static creep under single axle compressing were taken to study the effects of two forms of water intrusion (freeze-thaw cycle and hot water immersion) on asphalt mixture’s common mechanics properties and high temperature stability. The results show that water intrusion decreases asphalt mixture’s performance seriously and the effect of hot water immersion on asphalt mixture’s performance is far weaker than that of freeze-thaw cycle. Asphalt mixture’s performance is related to its gradation and voidage. Coarse aggregate forms skeleton and the effect of fine aggregate is filled in gap. It forms asphalt mixture with suitable voidage, so water stability is strong. Burgers model can be used to describe asphalt mixture creep performance before and after water damage, and its model parameters will change when there is water. The deformation ability of asphalt mixture is seriously affected by freeze-thaw cycle and hot water immersion. The evaluating results of water stability may be different with the change of the mechanics index of asphalt mixture under different loads such as tension or compression before and after water intrusion. It should be comprehensively considered the demand of water stability and other road performances such as high temperature stability.
